Let’s get cookin’!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so I know what’s on your mind… “How can I look my cutest while baking up a storm?” I know. Me too.

This just in from Josefina of Sweet Things in Almadies:

You can even match them for a mommy and me cooking or getting messy with arts and crafts date! And there are even some for dad! Hope you like them… Let me know if you want to stop by and check them out in person too!

Michelle’s Brilliant Body Scrub

A while back on the Gazelle Skirt Facebook page we asked you to share your best beauty tip. (We should do that again!)

My friend Michelle posted her body scrub recipe and I immediately made up a little batch. Then I remembered our water woes and figured an olive-oiled tub would not be a good thing. So the scrub got put in the fridge until…

Tonight! We now have water and I had 15 minutes free. This kind of combo doesn’t happen often for this mom of two, so I grabbed the scrub and quickly made my way to the tub before anyone under three could realize I was gone.

I thought about doing just one arm at first to compare. Nope. I could tell immediately that I was going to LOVE it.

Michelle’s scrub is amazing. My skin has only ever felt this good after a hammam session. Plus, it uses ingredients from my kitchen. And apparently stores well in the fridge. 🙂

Brilliant Body Scrub
Use twice a week for smooth, glowing skin.

Pour 1/2 cup sugar into a container with a lid. Add olive oil to soak and cover it. Squeeze in juice of a lime. Stir well.

In the shower, apply to skin and scrub gently in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water.

Tip from Michelle: Squirt dish soap in the shower or tub floor to keep it from getting too slippery.

(Just a little FYI, Michelle is also a 21-Day Fix coach if anyone is looking to trim down and tone up! Her next challenge group launches December 3rd.)
