AfricaNubian

Remember the Spring Bazaar? Well, I bought this amazing {and very unique} handbag there, from two lovely ladies representing their store, AfricaNubian. I told them about the Gazelle Skirt blog, and how I would love to come see their store, take some pictures, and write a post about them.

They loved the idea.

Here's my adorable bag. The only one of its kind.

AfricaNubian all began with Rama. She would design her own bags, shoes, earrings and clothes, using just a hint of African wax fabric. Her friends loved everything she wore, and soon began asking for her to design them things to wear for special events, etc. Little by little, just within this past year, a business was born.

All kinds of cute clothes, from 10,000cfa-20,000cfa.

I really enjoyed meeting these two ladies, looking at their selection of beautiful shoes + matching handbags, household items {lampshades and pillows}, jewelry, and more.

They kept saying, “Anything is possible here. Anything and everything can be personalized. You tell us what you want, and we’ll make it for you.”

They are located in Sacré Coeur 1. If you join their Facebook group [AfricaNubian], you can find a map with directions in their photo album. They’re open Monday-Saturday, from 10:30-1:oo [note the break time], and 3:30-7:30.

You can order clothes, design what you want, pick out fabrics, bring in an item to be copied… as they said, “anything is possible!” They said to allow for 10 days for something to be made.

They even sell men's shirts and can take orders for children's clothing.
